Eleni Kastrinogianni was born in Athens, Greece, where she lives and works.
By using acrylic paints as a basic tool, she creates bold colored, fun and quirky animal portraits.
Building layers on top of layers of paint, her art is characterized by vivid colors, energetic lines and a rich background. Eleni’s paintings have a childlike, naive yet sophisticated style with pop art characteristics, making them attractive to both children and adults.
She enjoys experimenting with inks, pencils, spray paints and collage, using non traditional tools like toothbrushes, credit cards, sponges, stencils or simply her bare hands.
She has had solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Greece and Cyprus. Her works hang in private collections in Greece, USA, Australia and Europe.
