Despina Xenaki was born in Athens in 1978. She is a graduate of the Fine Arts and Design Faculty of the Interior Architecture, Decorative Arts & Design Department at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. She also holds a Diploma of Higher Education in Graphic Design of the Middlesex University of London.
In January 2015 she created the XENAKI CERAMIC ART&DESIGN STUDIO, which is a place of experimentation and study of the clay’s abilities aimed at creating sculptures and utilitarian objects.
More specifically, she develops studies on lighting, modern design, the integration of small and large-scale ceramics in indoor and outdoor spaces and the design/creation of hand-made jewelry.
The first time that part of her work was presented was at the 52nd National Ceramics Exhibition where it won the third accolade.
